Check valves provide extra piece of mind for off-road drivers that subject their vehicle's steering system to high impact shock load.
The function of a check valve is to prevent reverse flow by opening to allow fluid to pass in one direction but closing and blocking the flow path in the opposite direction. While this is a safety device that reduces risk of shock-load damage to steering pumps and other components, it does not replace the need for a properly sized pressure relief valve in a steering system.
Check Valve Features:
- Compact steel body
- 4500 PSI max operating pressure
- -8 JIC (AN) x -8 ORB connections for use directly in orbital valve P-port which means no extra hoses needed for installation
- 5 PSI crack (opening) pressure
- Pressure drop:
- 8 PSI @ 4 GPM
- 15 PSI @ 6 GPM
- 25 PSI @ 8 GPM
- 35 PSI @ 10 GPM
